Why You Need It

To create an impactful course, or a customer journey, it's crucial to understand the process your customers undergo from encountering a problem to achieving their desired outcome. The "Problem to Promise" worksheet can assist in mapping this process out, highlighting key milestones, the outcomes they bring, and the tools required. This structured approach enables businesses to create a systematic delivery roadmap for customers, whether for course creation, product upselling, a lead magnet sequence, a social media video series, or even the content in a book. By mapping the customer journey from problem to promise, you're better equipped to cater to customers' needs at each stage, resulting in an improved overall customer experience.

What You Need To Know

This worksheet comprises the following sections:

Problem (Their Frustrations and Fears)

Identify the pain points, fears, and frustrations your potential customers are experiencing. These problems are the reasons customers seek out your product or service.

Promise (Their Wants and Aspirations)

Define the desired outcomes or goals your customers aspire to achieve. These are the promises that your product or service aims to fulfill.

Process (Six Milestone Columns)

In between the problem and the promise, you will map out the journey your customers undertake. Each of the six milestones should be filled out considering these three components:

Milestone Description

This defines the specific stages or steps the customer takes to move closer to their desired outcome. For example, this could be "Signing up for a trial" or "Attending a workshop."
